Poppy has sworn off men because she does not want to get hurt again. She found out her ex-husband had an affair so she ended it. She bought a house out in the country and lives with her dog.
Poppy is reading a hot novel and wishes she could jump into it. She is startled by lighting and soon after her dog barks wildly to alert her. She goes to see what has upset him. She notices there is movement in the distance and it is getting closer. Her night has just got more interesting when she notices it is a hot guy in need of help.
Felix is on his way home when he gets into an accident. He walks to find a phone and get his car towed to get fixed. When he gets to the house finds a beautiful single lady that is willing to help a stranger.
What happens to two stranger's when they wait out the storm together? You must read to find out.
It is a hot short story with some steamy scenes. I look forward to reading the next book in this series.
